This is an oil painting of a sailing ship on the ocean. The ocean is calm with small waves breaking on the ship's hull. The sun is attempting to break out of the clouds. The sun light is being reflected off of the waves. The ship has most of it's sails opened up for the wind.I created some low hanging clouds on the horizon. The ship is made of wood and I detailed the hull to expose the wooden planks. This sailing ship is from the 1800's. The painting is a great gift.
